Coach Vint’s Bio:
James Vint has 18 years of coaching experience, including 14 years as a coordinator at the high school and college level. Coach Vint is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Seminole High School in Seminole, Texas. In Vint’s first year at Seminole the Indians advanced to the area championship where they were defeated by the Graham Steers.
Vint has coached at the 6A level in Texas as well, spending four years at Coronado High School in Lubbock, where the Mustangs averaged over 40 points a game in a district that featured Odessa Permian and Midland Lee.
Before going to Coronado, Vint was at Truman State University and at Iowa Wesleyan. At Truman State the Bulldogs had one of the top offenses in NCAA Division II Football.
From 1998 to 2005, Vint was the offensive coordinator at Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx, New York. When Vint got to Columbus High School the Blue Steel were in the midst of a 27 game losing streak and had never had a winning season in school history. Their first year Columbus went 6-4, and in their second year the Blue Steel went to the playoffs for the first time in school history.
Coach Vint has written two books on the pistol offense, 101 Pistol Run Plays and 101 Pistol Option Plays, published by Coaches Choice. Vint also has over a dozen videos on the Spread and Pistol Offense.
